Short answer: choose Indify if you need a synced Google or Outlook calendar, an image gallery, or widgets for Coda, Obsidian or Canva. Choose Dearly Peculiar if you want themed trackers, gamified goals, fandom or moving-home widgets that match a soft, illustrated Notion page. Both have a free tier, and you can use both on one page.

When Indify is the better choice
- You want your Google or Outlook events inside Notion.
- You need an image gallery, buttons or a click counter.
- You also build pages in Coda, Obsidian, Canva or Google Sites.
- You want more than three free widgets.
When Dearly Peculiar is the better choice
- You want widgets that look made for an aesthetic page, with matching themes across a set.
- You track things inside the page itself: habits, moods, water, savings, reading or no-spend days.
- You like gamified goals such as Boss HP or Hero Card, or fandom widgets such as Slow Burn.
- You would rather pay once than keep a subscription.
Moving a widget from Indify to Dearly Peculiar
- Find the matching widget in the widget catalogue and preview it.
- Sign in, claim it and copy its embed link.
- In Notion, add a new line, type
/embed, choose Embed and paste the link. - Resize it to the old block's space, then delete the old embed.
Clocks, countdowns, timers and weather swap over cleanly. A synced Google Calendar does not have a Dearly Peculiar equivalent, so keep Indify for that one.
Frequently asked questions
Is Indify free?
Yes. Indify's free plan allows up to six active widgets and three dashboard folders, with no card required. Its Creator plan is $8 a month or $84 a year, and Pro upgrades for single widgets start at $4 a month. Checked 12 October 2026.
Is Dearly Peculiar free?
Yes, with a free account. It embeds up to three different widgets, and one of them can be fully customised at no cost. See current pricing.
Which is better for a Google Calendar in Notion?
Indify. It offers Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar widgets. Dearly Peculiar calendars are standalone and do not connect to Google or Outlook.
Can I use both on one Notion page?
Yes. Each widget is a separate embed block, so an Indify calendar and a Dearly Peculiar tracker can sit on the same page.
